Member of the Presidency of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature since July 2003.

Expert of the European Union of the Programme of the International Association for the Promotion of Co-operation with Scientists from the New Independent States of the Former Soviet Union since 2003.

Expert in the evaluation of research projects of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science since 1998.

Evaluation Expert for research projects of Rustaveli Fund (Georgian Foundation for Humanities and Social Sciences Research, Georgia) since 2007.

Prepared the translation of the novel “The Aviator” by Eugene Vodolazkin into Spanish (November 2018, ISBN 978-84-8041-169-1).

Member of the jury for the Russian Literature in Spain Prize organised by Yeltsin Fund (2009, 2011, 2013).

Founder and chief director of the journal of Russian Studies.

Member of the editorial board of the journal “Russian Language Abroad”.

Member of the editorial board of the journal “Two Centuries of the Russian Classics”.

Editor-in-chief of the journal “Cuadernos de Rusística Española”.

Awards:

Vice-President of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, specialist in Russian and Spanish language and literature.

1998 – Honorary Prize of the Republic of Poland for the dissemination of the Polish language and culture in Spain, awarded by the President of Poland.

2001 – Honorary Doctor of the University of the World Languages. Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 2001.

2006 – Pushkin Gold Medal of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature for services in the dissemination of the Russian language. Sofia / Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria).

2007 – The Order “In the Name of Life on Earth” for the dissemination of the Russian language awarded by the ambassador of the Russian Federation.

2009 – Award “Best Humanities Teacher at the University of Granada”.

2010 – The Order awarded by St. Petersburg Polytechnic University at the Embassy of Russia in Spain.

2017 – Decorated with the “Order of Peoples Friendship” for contribution to the preservation and promotion of Russian culture in Spain (awarded by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, at Moscow Kremlin on the 4th November holiday, 2017).
