Abstract: The author of the article addresses the work of Alexander Pushkin in the last decade of his life, noting the particular completeness of the great writer’s worldview and the scale of his prophecies. The article proves that Alexander Pushkin’s later works not only convey the writer’s views and moods, but also show his relation to time, history, and the state. Alexander Pushkin’s creative work is characterised by the embodiment in artistic images of the best national features, a sense of a person’s connection with God. The author emphasises that Alexander Pushkin was a convinced monarchist, who interpreted the monarchy from the historical and political points of view as the best form of government for Russia. The article considers a number of the most important images and concepts of late Alexander Pushkin’s art, revealing the breadth of his view, the insight of his geopolitical views. The author comes to the conclusion that they can be comprehended only taking into account the Orthodox worldview of the writer. The paper notes the organic connection of Alexander Pushkin’s thought with the patristic tradition and reveals the most important semantic emphasis of Alexander Pushkin’s later poems. All Alexander Pushkin’s creative work affirms the course of life according to the Divine plan. The genius interprets life itself as a service to God, his plan and his creation — human being and humanity.
