Abstract: The research works of Pavel Annenkov of different years on the life and work of Alexander Pushkin, the characteristics of which this article is devoted to, are priority in many respects. The authoritative Alexander Pushkin scholar showed the formation and development of the literary position of the great Russian author. In the works of the former, there is a close connection between worldview and creative work, aesthetic and ethical principles, social and personal principles in the creative development of the latter, in the correlation of Pavel Annenkov’s artistic searches from late classicism through understanding the complexity of romanticism to the idea of reflecting reality in art. The close contacts of the Russian writer with European ones, the process of the formation of Russian creative principles and the search for positive ideals in Russian society are traced. Analysis of the movement of Alexander Pushkin's literary position in Pavel Annenkov’s works in different years shows the development and deepening of the research thought of the Pushkin-ist.
